Piroxicam is an anti-inflammatory agent, developed by Pfizer. It is equivalent in
efficacy to indometacin in rheumatoid arthritis, with significant therapeutic effect in gout, ankylosing
spondylitis and osteoarthritis. The maximum recommended dose is 20mg/day.
