Choose Your Options
Use only the search options that you need--leave the others blank.
Patent or Application Number
Enter the two-letter country code followed by a space and the number just as it appears in the patent or citation, with all punctuation. For example, patent number EP 458,501 or application number EP 93200044.
To display a list of country codes, click Country Code List.
Note about U.S. application numbers: U.S. application numbers are reused every several years. Searching by U.S. application number may result in multiple records.
Priority Only (Application Number)
Check the Priority Only box to restrict application number searches to the priority application only.
Patent Assignee
Enter the name of the patent/application owner. For example, SILICON GRAPHICS.
Do NOT include words like Corp., Inc., etc.
Legal Status
You can search for changes in the legal status such as opposition, withdrawal, lapse, or revocation of the patent.
Patent Year
Leave this blank unless you need to focus the search by year. For fastest processing, use the smallest year range you need.
